Get your bathing suit on and get onto this beautiful pool deck. Brussels Block® pool coping stones have a tumbled surface but are also smooth on those bare feet. Can I use pavers around a swimming pool for pool coping? Answer: Absolutely! Unilock pavers not only enhance the area around a pool, they also provide a slip resistant surface to walk on. Also, if you ever have to service the area below the pavers you can easily lift and re-lay the pavers for your pool coping. |

Pool Coping for Raised Patios - Once the pool coping units are fitted, they can be glued to the surface using Unilock Concrete Adhesive. After glueing, the balance of base material can be placed. Some pool coping units have the option of being "rock-faced". This is achieved using a mallet and a masonry chisel, or by using a guillotine. Pool coping steps require important planning. Outdoor steps should not be more than 6" in height or less than 4". The lower the step, the deeper the tread should be. The ideal step configuration should be close to this formula as possible. Tread = 26 != (2 x Rise) Place the next row of blocks directly behind the pool coping for your second tread and repeat these procedures for any additional steps required. One attractive option is to create a longer tread by installing pavers between the risers. |
The rounded edge of Fullnose™ Edger used as pool coping around the edge of this pool was a great choice. The dimpled surface of Cortina® paving stones is smooth on the bare feet. |
